About AAMET The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Therapies
AAMET International was founded in 1999 it was reformed and registered as a legal Voluntary Organisation in Malta in 2010. AAMET represents EFT Practitioners & Trainers worldwide and its Statute requires that it operates on a lawful, not for profit basis, therefore all Board members work voluntarily. AAMET is set up to promote ethical practice; fund EFT research; support its members and forge links with professional organisations. All Practitioners and Trainers registered with AAMET have had their qualifications validated and have signed up to mandatory CPD & Mentoring as well as a strict Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Why Choose an AAMET Certified or Accredited Practitioner or attend a Certified or Accredited Training Workshop?
Although the AAMET is not a Regulatory Body, it is a Professional Association which aims to improve the training standards of EFT and raise the quality of practitioners. Whilst many uncertified EFT trainers are honest and capable, it can be difficult for the public to identify those who are not skilled enough to provide the theoretical knowledge, the practical skills, the teaching ability or who have the personal experience of using EFT with a large number of clients to offer quality training. Their work is unsupported by a professional body and if you should be unhappy with your training their is no formal recourse and many do not carry professional insurance.
AAMET seeks to resolve most of these issues by ensuring a unified standard of training and adherence by the practitioners to a strict code of ethics that is designed to protect both the public and practitioners. It means that members of the public can check to see if their practitioner is listed and they can make a formal complaint in the event of a breach of ethics.
